DJ collective Know ID and I collaborated mainly on branding and promo materials:

This promotional poster for a gig at El Rio in San Francisco, CA was my first dive into more brutalist styles for a client.


El Rio has deeps roots set in inclusivity and care for all people, so I wanted to make sure bright, celebratory colors weren't muddled by the gritty textures used to represent the UK Garage electronic music genre.

I also worked with the collective to set the initial blueprint for their branding.


Know ID is anti-gatekeeping and focuses on circulating the music they select to any community listening.


"Know ID" plays off their knowledge of music track ID, and a barcode visually represents identification themes.
